Finally... the awaited Spring Break Update!

Life never ceases to amaze me... Things can get SOOO crazy, but we truly enjoy every moment we have with these crazy kids of ours. We went to Southern California for a MUCH needed break a few weeks ago. It was awesome to finally have a long vacation from school, and we used every minute of it hanging out with family and trying not to think about any stresses we left behind. I think we managed fairly well. Here are some of the pictures. ENJOY!

All the cousins (except I think sleeping Ezra) at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. How fun it was to have ALL the LeBras cousins together for this outing (this does not happen very often)? My cousin Thi-Anh even came with her cute little girl, that was a fun bonus!

Definitely a highlight was going into downtown LA to watch the play Wicked! It was sooo awesome! You'll even catch Cameron singing the songs! The girls were absolutely mesmorized! Thanks to Angela for getting our awesome seats way back!

How fun to have cousins the same age? Camille and Kennan loved messing around together!

Look how Spencer would not let go of Mickey's hand! It was so cute! Spencer was so excited to see Mickey, he kept hugging him and giving him high fives. Definitely a highlight for Spence.

It was fun to see Spence with Winnie the Pooh too. He kept looking at him saying hi and bye.

These two buds had fun messing with the girls during the "Bug's Life" 3D movie. Spence was fascinated, the girls were screaming.

These two were too short for the big rides, so while Daddy took Camille on Grizzly Rapids, I took these two to meet Kenai from Brother Bear.

All in all, a great trip, definitely too short, but we made lots of memories. We hope to do this again sometime. It was fun to hang out with so many family members and enjoy watching the kids play with each other. These are the kinds of trips they will remember! Thanks to all those who were there!

Count-down to Spring Break

I don't have any new pictures, but felt that a little update was needed. We are officially on our count-down to Spring Break. This is a much needed vacation for us all, and we are so excited to be able to hook up with so many family members in California. The kids are excited to spend time with cousins, and I am looking forward to catching up on SLEEP. I stayed up almost all night last night to finish my National Board certification papers, and I actually made my goal of mailing it TODAY! Hooray! We are also done with Cameron's company taxes for 2007, and now just have one more large task looming. The huge and detailed executive summary that is needed for our condo project. We are feeling optimistic after completing the previous large tasks in the last week however. The kids are doing well in school and their other activities. The Parade of Homes House in Provo is looking great, and now we are getting to do the fun decorating parts. We are excited to showcase Cameron's work. We hope the market recoops for the Spring and Summer and that we can sell all our homes. We do feel so blessed to be able to continue working though through this crazy time, because we know (from seeing our friends and Cameron's associates) that things could be much worse. Anyway, hope everyone has a great break and that you all travel safely!

Updates

I fully warned everyone that I was not so great at keeping up on these kinds of things... so it comes as no surprise that my new posts are only like every two weeks or so. Things around here are crazy as usual. The kids are doing great! Katelyn is officially registered for kindergarten at my school for next year, and she is excited to come with Camille and I in the mornings. Spencer is just busting at the seams to get in there and play soccer with the girls who started Spring soccer recently. Katelyn got to have Cameron coach her team in the fall, so he is doing Camille's team this spring. After the first day, she told me that this wasn't the team she signed up for, she was supposed to be on daddy's team. It was really cute. She is doing okay though with her other coach, and daddy does help coach once a week. Spencer is getting harder and harder to keep off the fields during the games, but he has so much fun coming that he has not been banned yet. Camille had her first dance competition of the year yesterday up in Bountiful. The girls in her company did great, and they had fun. She really enjoys dancing and getting all dressed up in her costumes. Today was officially the first great weather Saturday we have had this Spring. Cameron literally made the kids stay outside and play all day. Needless to say, they were all beat by the end of the day. Spencer actually came and laid on my feet (while I was sitting) and fell asleep. It was pretty funny. We hope for many more days like that to come. Cameron is busy trying to get jobs done and I am doing many things... such as: showing homes to clients, choosing things for the parade home, trying to finish my National Board, getting CW Construction taxes and book-keeping done, writing an executive summary for our condo project, and chasing around my kids. So, that explains why not much gets done on the blog.

Cameron's family has been going out to the Sand Dunes every Easter weekend for as long as anyone can remember. The kids all get covered in sand. They did holes and get buried, jump off the top, and eventually get really tired. By the time we get them home, they have sand coming out of everything!!! It is a fun tradition.

California, Here We Come!!!

The girls and I are excited to make the treck out to California this weekend for Kennan's baptism. Camille has been so lucky to have a cousin the same age. In fact, all my kids have been lucky, because someone always pulls through for us and produces a cousin near the same age and genders as mine... and with Mike and Romina having a girl, someone has pulled through for me once again. Spencer is going to be sad with all the girls gone, but I'm sure he and his daddy will find lots of fun things to do without us. Katelyn told Cameron that he could do any boy things he wanted with Spencer this weekend, but to make sure he fed Spencer, and didn't lose him.

Not much going on...

Wow! There is really nothing going on these days. I guess that's why I hate this time of year so much. My kids' schedules have kept us busy, and the prospect of Spring around the corner is keeping me sane. I found some pictures of Katelyn's Build-a-Bear birthday party that were fun! My kids are growing so fast, I hope I can soak it all in and enjoy each moment. The girls and I are looking forward to going to Kennan's baptism is a few weeks, then it's a long wait until Spring Break!

Winter Update

So... I think I have seasonal depression. I am SOOOO over being cold and staying inside. I was so excited to have a few days with warm weather before we got smacked with another storm. The kids at school are so anxious to get outside and I am just as anxious to send them out. My own kids don't seem to mind so much. They have kept themselves busy and kept us sane. The kids had a blast at "Jump On It." They went for Lily's birthday party. It is basically a large warehouse full of blow-up toys and trampolines. They kids were tuckered out after that party!





Katelyn and Spence built a huge snowman with Cameron the other day!





Spencer's latest obsession is with markers. We have had to hide ALL of our markers. He especially likes the permanent kind. This is what he does to himself with markers. This is after a few days of fading, because it was permanent. He has also colored his arms, and best of all the walls of our room and the floor in the playroom. It is hard to get mad when I see him covered in marker. He is just so dang funny.

Our Beloved Prophet, Gordon B. Hickley

Today has been a good day! We watched the coverage of President Hinckley's funeral and biography. We are grateful for what we learned from President Hinckley and for the example that he was to me and my family. We enjoyed listening to some tender and funny sentiments from the kids...
Camille climbed in my lap when the casket was being removed from the conference center, and told me she felt like she was going to cry when everyone stood and they moved the casket. It was such a tender moment to be able to explain to her that she was feeling the spirit. She started asking me more about that and we had a good talk about how she would soon be baptized and get to have the spirit with her to help her understand things throughout her life. She saw some of the images of Sister Hinckley and asked why people kept talking about how they were so happy together. We talked about temple marriage and how because the Prophet and his wife were married in the temple, they were now together in heaven forever, and their kids would be with them too someday. She told me immediately that she was going to get married in the temple, and was going to make sure her kids did too.
Katelyn kept telling everyone she saw that the prophet had died. She started getting confused though when they kept showing images on his life on TV. She asked me if he came back to life. I told her that they were just videos of his life, and that he had died. She said, "He'll come back to life in 15 years!" We had to clarify that yes, he would come back during the resurrection, but we don't know if that is 15 years.
Over-all, it was a nice peaceful day with nowhere to go and nothing to do. Days like these we cherish!
