Thanksgiving Weekend

The thing I am MOST grateful for are vacation days, so I can hang out with my family and get things done around the house. I guess for most working moms that is probably the case. I got to spend all of Wednesday running errands and doing things around the house. I finally filled in all the nail holes in some of our trim and got the base boards in the bathrooms caulked (yeah... we've lived here for 2 years - that's what happens when your husband is always working on other people's houses). Thursday morning we headed down to Kanosh for Thanksgiving dinner with Cameron's family. As usual, we ate ourselves silly and enjoyed all of it. The girls went on an icy bike ride with Grandpa the next morning, then we headed out to our annual "Hunt for a perfect tree in freezing cold weather... keeping in mind that perfect trees are hard to find in nature TRIP." Our good friends the Lawrences came down for this, and the kids had a great time being bundled and running around the mountains, while the "men" took the four-wheelers and chain-saw out to search. Us gals tended to the fire, food, and kids, and the guys managed to find some great trees. We didn't get any pictures because we forgot our camera. We headed home that Friday night, showered and did loads of laundry. Saturday was another one of those great stay home, hang-out and get stuff done days. We got all the Christmas decorations out and Cameron went a little crazy with the lights outside. We listened to the BYU game on the Radio (I know it sounds old-fashioned, but we don't have Comcast, so we couldn't get the game... that is really getting old). Caroline came over to hang out while Clint was at the game. We ate yummy salads from Bajio and enjoyed the last minute come back. We could even hear the cheering from the stadium clear at our house. All in all, a great break!
